Environmental Works

Environmental improvements in Anfield Village

Residents in the Anfield Village area have had their say on proposed environmental improvements.

Liverpool City Council and Your Housing Group working in Partnership will be creating public spaces and selective side gardens in the area, following the demolition of houses down the odd side of Burnand Street and the even side of Blessington Road.

In the Gurnall , Hayfield and Blessington Triangle new green space will be created close to houses, with a range of sympathetic landscaping to meet local residents’ wishes. This green space will be maintained by Liverpool City Council.

It is hoped that this summer will see work commence in two cleared sights in Burnand Street. All of the alleyways are also going to be resurfaced in tarmac and improved street lighting will be installed. Funding for the work is already in place.

People can comment on the planned environmental works by calling in to the Project Office at 60/62 Burnand Street during the week, between 2pm and 4pm. They can also call Dave Litherland from Your Housing Group on 01744 670 221 ext. 1009, or Susan Hirst from Liverpool City Council on 0151 233 0214.
